There are a couple of useful submenus that can be added to the one that pops up when you press the right mouse button in the background of a Sun OpenWindows desktop (this is the window manager that most people are using now, I believe). To use them, add the following lines to your ~/.openwin-menu file. See ~jaf/.openwin-menu for an example of where to put the lines, if you're not sure.
"Xterms" MENU /project/gbn_hw/switch/lib/openwin-menu-xterms "GBN stuff" MENU /project/gbn_hw/switch/lib/openwin-menu-gbn-stuff
When the Synopsys 1997.01 on-line documentation comes up (which is what you get when you use the "GBN Stuff" menu that I've mentioned before... see above if you want to have this menu and don't), the default is for two windows to come up, where the little one is a "search" window entitled "Synopsys Online Documentation 1997.01". Unfortunately, any text you search for in this window only searches the Synopsys installation manuals, not the stuff you really want.
To change it so that the default search window that comes up searches the Synopsys synthesis manuals, do the following:
cp ~jaf/Iview ~
That's it! Here are some notes, in case you want to know how I created this Iview file.
