Introduction and problem description:

Our main intent is to create a chess game that will keep you entertained. We would like to fill the game with funny animations and thrilling music and sounds. Since it takes two people to play chess we would like this game to have a Network play capability. At different parts of the game the player will have the ability to interact with the program through the mouse and keyboard. As already mentioned, we'll focus on Sound and Vision.
Since chess is not an easy game, neither will be the implementation of checking for the validity of the piece moves. We would like to stand up to the task of implementing checking for "Check Mate." (din't quite get there). Once again, our main goal will be to keep the players at the edge of their seats.
