ECE 291 Lockwood, Fall 1997 November 21, 1997 Diego H. Gallego Jeff Bull Tomas Jacobi ECE 291 FINAL PROJECT WRITEUP: SKEET SHOOTING
INTRODUCTION:
This final project involves the implementation of a game possessing
many of the characteristics of a skeet shooting/target practice simulation.
A player will utilize the mouse as an input device capable of moving a
targeting reticle about the screen. His or her purpose is to
destroy as many targets as possible; these targets are include a variety
of common objects, such as clay pigeons and other items used in a similar
fashion. The targets will be distributed from one of
five starting blocks located at the bottom of the screen, generally taking
a trajectory away from the player, that is, the objects will be scaled
smaller to simulate flight towards the horizon.
The player must move his reticle onto one of these blocks at several times
during the game in order to reload his weapon, but the block where he/she
reloads will never be the same block from which targets are distributed.
Rounds will involve a series of at least 5 targets being shot into the
playing area, giving appropriate time intervals during which the player
is allowed to reload. The actual playing area will be chosen by the player
before commencing gameplay.
