Robotic Chess

• This project will utilize the Rhino XR-4 robotic arm to manipulate actual chess pieces on an actual chess board in response to move commands input by the player into the computer. This will most likely be a two-player, single-computer game,though the possibility of networking will be explored and time per-mitting, implemented. There will be a graphical chess board displayed on the computer monitor, and the user will move pieces using the mouse. Once a move is completed, the robotic arm will echo the move on the actual chess board. All standard chess rules will be incorporated. This project will require work in controls and communications, as well as graphics manipulation. The team has already been assembled

StarMaster Pro

• We plan to create a better version of the old Atari classic StarMaster. StarMaster is a first person space flying game in which the objective to destroy enemy space craft before they destroy your bases or you. We plan to use a joystick for controls and possibly add network play. There will be from 5 to infinite levels of increasing diffuculty. Our version will drastically change to older version, ie an enhanced control panel and throttle, but will follow the basic game-play

LodeBrunner^tm

• This will be a game similar to the Bröderbund classic game Lode Runner®. It involves SVGA VESA mode 101h graphics with animation, awesome sound effects and music, computer- controlled enemies, and hours of exciting gameplay.
  Other features features include a level editor.

  Prospective features include modifications to gameplay including possible multiplayer features.

  This project will involve animated graphics, sound support, multiple levels, and intelligent enemies.

J Decision

• This project is making a World War 3 simulator. The objective of the game is to have all 11 countries destroyed. The game ends when this is accomplished or when the station (user) is destroyed. User can also surrender. The user has 6 options to choose from: get information about other countries, fire missile, stall, get supply, form alliance and surrender. So come join us in a mission to destroy the world!!!

Pseudo-SSL Session

• This project will simulate an SSL session (secure socket layer). SSL is a protocol used to establish secure communication over the internet; it is currently the standard in browser security. This project will use two encryption techniques, DES and RSA. RSA uses public key cryptography: a private key decrypts, and a public key encrypts. DES uses a single master key that de/encrypts. This project will allow one to send a master key across a network using RSA, and then the DES key will encrypt the information sent. Project consists of writing the DES and RSA algorithms, writing a TEXT mode interface, and allowing network connectivity for exchange of encrypted data. This project will also attempt to break the encryption with brute force (using small keys, of course). As well as needing people for the above, I`ll need help writing the encryption/decryption algorithms.

Samurai Shodown V- (the Atari version)

• Our team will implement a toned down version of the game Samurai Shodown. This project will involve keyboard and maybe joystick interface, lots of animations, a complicated game engine, and sound. If time permits we will perhaps add new moves to the game or even implement the computer AI.

Extreme Digger

• This project will recreate the old skool Digger game with a few added tricks and bonuses. Digger is a Pac-Man like game where the player makes tunnels with a bulldozer while dodging falling boulders and ugly things trying to take him out. Multiple levels, bad guy AI, sound, video, maybe networking.. this game has it all.
