Application-Level Multicast Infrastructure
(ALMI)
Welcome to ALMI's homepage ! ALMI is a multicast
communication package, that allows a small group of hosts to setup a multicast
session and communicate with each other simultaneously. The commnication
channel is established over unicast connections and spreads out as a spanning
tree. The middleware package is currently written in JavaTM.
The project originated when I was an intern at the IBM
Watson Research Center in Westchester NY, see this abstract for the original project description.
